To-Do List - 12/13 12/19: All Those Lights!

Dec 13, 2021

Christmas lights, holiday glows, and winter lodges are in the heart of the To-Do List for the week between 12/13 and 12/19! It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Watermark Winter Wonderland

The Watermark Winter Wonderland provides a warm festive experience outside (yes, it’s a warm experience in the December cold).

Watermark’s Winter Wonderland is as festive as it can get – seasonal films on a jumbo screen, overlooking a breathtaking NYC skyline. You literally can see Santa and his slide over the horizon.

Grab a cup of hot cocoa or seasonal tea and enjoy the Christmas lights or the view towards the Brooklyn Bridge. Also, get to taste Watermark’s trademark cheese fondue or the Spiked hot chocolate.

New York Botanical Garden Glow

The NYBG glows with the Christmas spirit! For the second year in a row, New York Botanical Garden presents glow – an amazing nighttime event, featuring bright festive lights over some of its iconic buildings, glittering canvases with the Haupt Conservatory, and Mertz Library Building as the centerpieces.

This year a new feature makes its debut at Glow – the Holiday Train Show®. This is an older New York tradition, with 30 years of history behind its back. Grab a ticket for a ride through iconic NY landmarks like the Statue of Liberty, Brooklyn Bridge, Rockefeller Center, as well as the Haupt Conservatory and LuEsther T. Mertz Library Building.

The Pink Lodge at Moxy Times Square

This Christmas will be pink! Or, at least, at the Pink Winter Lodge at Moxy Times Square. Experience a colorful, fancy Christmas, with more than 25,000 crystals, a full dinner, and a brunch menu including themed cocktails and pink treats! The Pink Lodge is very trendy on Instagram, so don’t forget to take pictures!

Cocktails include some fancy stuff like Double Pink Diamond and Après Ski. On the sweet, non-alcoholic side, go for Pink Bling or cotton candy-topped s’mores stacks!

Don’t forget to make a reservation for Magic hour. You can get one online!

Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience

What does an immersive experience mean? This is an experience that pulls a viewer into another real or imagined world, enabling them to manipulate and interact with their environment. Just like the largest Van Gogh Exhibit in the world taking place at Pier 36 NYC!

Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience is probably the biggest Van Gogh exhibit in the world! Located at Pier 36, it spans 75k square feet and is fully equipped with light and sound spectacular featuring two-story projections of the artist's most compelling works. Encounter the brilliance of one of history's greatest artists in a 360-degree exhibit of unparalleled proportions.

You can download the free app for an even better, more immersive experience!

In conclusion

This week is going to be amazing – pink, glowing, and immersive! The To-Do List for the 12/13 - 12/19 will be glorious with all these lights!
